Sunday morning, Tony and I were getting ready for church, and just chit-chatting about mundane things. At one point, I casually said, "Man, I'm thirsty. I could go for a Sprite. Or maybe a water."
Later, as we were getting in the car to go to church, I noticed a can of Sprite and a bottle of water sitting in the middle console of Tony's car. "What are those for?" I asked, already knowing the answer.
"Well, you said you wanted a Sprite or a water, and I didn't know which one you wanted, so I got you both."
I didn't say anything, but kept grinning at him until he finally turned his head. "What?" he asked.
"I love you," I replied, unable to stop smiling.

Sunday night, we were discussing various errands we need to get done this week, and as I was listing things off, I said, "Oooh, thank-you notes! I almost forgot. I need to get thank-you notes."
Tony was on his way out the door to make a deposit at the bank, and I asked, "Could you--?" but then cut myself off with "Nevermind."
"What do you need?"
"Well, I was going to ask if you could get some thank-you notes, but don't worry about it. I'll do it myself, tomorrow or something."
He left, and when he returned, I came downstairs to say hi. Lying in the counter were these...
"Oh, hon, you didn't have to..." I started.
"I thought they were really cute, because they kind of matched the cake, and the theme we had for her party. And I only got 30 for now--I wasn't sure how many you needed..."
"They are perfect. Thank you."

Jack Handey Quote of the Day:
Just because swans mate for life, I don't think it's that big a deal. First of all, if you're a swan, you're probably not going to find a swan that looks much better than the one you've got, so why not mate for life?
